Student's Code of Conduct

THE FFMAC STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT.

A successful program built upon mutual trust, diversity, inclusion and respect.

At Fighting Fit Martial Arts Centre we have a fair and open student code of conduct policy that encourages a diverse and inclusive student training culture. The student code of conduct is to:

1. Respect the rights, dignity, and worth of your fellow students.

2. Be fair, considerate, and honest with your fellow students.

3. Review and adjust your training methods to achieve continuous improvement.

4. Conduct yourself professionally and accept responsibility for your actions.

5. Behave within the rules and spirit of the martial arts industry, sporting arena, and local community in which you belong.

6. Ensure that any physical contact with a fellow student is appropriate and necessary.

7. Refrain from any form of personal abuse or harassment towards other students.

8. Show care and concern towards sick or injured students.

9. Be a positive role model for the school, martial arts, sports, the local community, and your fellow students.

10. Treat all instructors, fellow students, your family and friends with respect.

CLASS ETIQUETTE AT FFMAC.

We always develop and support traditional martial arts school values. The class etiquette policy at Fighting Fit Martial Arts Centre reinforces the values of the student code of conduct. The class etiquette policy includes the following

1. Bow to the flag and your instructor when entering and leaving the school or training floor with a positive affirmation by saying “Yes I Can” as a constant reminder you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

2. Seek permission from the instructor before entering and leaving the training floor.

3. All instructors will be addressed by their correct title Mr, Miss, Ms, Mrs, Master, followed by their surname.  Other words of courtesy when addressing others include Sir or Ma’am.

4. Bow before speaking to the instructor and use words of consideration.

5. Students should be mindful of others training and refrain from loud conversation, excessive laughter and running around the room.

6. Uniforms should be clean at all times and students should be aware of their personal hygiene by making sure toe and finger nails are clipped, and personal deodorant is worn.
